For the MAE210 final we needed to build a water powered car. Not many water powered cars existed on the internet so we had to improvise. Most teams used the waterwheel mechanism, however we were skeptical of it, so we went with pressured water. It worked similarly as air pressure, but the pushback force from pressured water was stronger than air hence making the design more fesable. I used woodworking tools to design the base from pinewood and we calculated the air/water ratio needed to make the car go the furthest with our base. Our car trials went the furthest from the section.
